As a dog owner, you can minimize the chances of your dog being a biter by socializing him early in life.

1. Don’t turn your back on a dog and run away or he will chase you
2. Pet a dog only after it has finished sniffing you
3. Never approach a strange dog
4. Teach your kid not to run away or scream when the dog is found to be snarling.
5. Give your dog a place, he can call his own, perhaps small corner
6. Teach your children not to brother the dog when he is in his private retreat.
When dogs bite kids, the dog may have taken the best care of itself but this one incident scars a child against dogs forever.
